girlrobin: (The Girl Wonder)

Talk about my family? Which one did you want me to talk about? I kind of have a couple different ones.

My Work

My work? “grins” Well during the day I'm pretty much like any normal teenage girl. I go to school. I'm in mostly AP classes, I'm part of the debate team . . . I'm on the prom community.

Don't laugh I had to have a second extra curricular activity.

I meet my friends at coffee shops to do homework. I go shoe shopping.

I knew as soon as I saw him he'd be trouble.

From the first meeting at Titan's Tower. The way he walked in and sat down, so self assured and confident. Tight black T-shirt over broad shoulders, hair that fell a little in his eyes, shy blue eyes that sparkled whenever he smiled that charming, flirty smile of his.

And on the one time we actually made eye contact with each other? Babs really didn't need to kick me so hard under the table.

So yeah, from the beginning I knew he'd be trouble, but then I'm not exactly opposed to trouble.

Gotham has it's own kind of music. Standing on top of a rooftop and looking down you can hear it. The noise of the traffic, a blaring of a siren, the general noise of people moving through the city, the shot of a gun, it all combines into a song that you can't get out of your head.

And then underneath all of that there's a beat. A beat that belongs to Gotham alone. It like a Siren's call, calling you out to her. Calling you out to her streets to dance under the stars.

So I stand on the edge of the roof, with the hum of the song in my head. I shoot off a line and fly through the night, ready to dance with her.

What if I woke up as a boy? Looking around at some of the patrons that come here I think I might have a good idea of what I'd be like. I would hate to have to give up my boots, they're pretty awesome. Too be honest none of the guys have boots as cool as mine. (No offense guys, but you really don't.)

But if I were a guy? . . . .”giggles” Well okay definitely no skirt. I've talked to some of you and short shorts are definitely out. Though maybe the boss wouldn't be so overprotective, it would be nice not to have him checking up on me all the time. Bet he wouldn't put a tracer on my bike if I were a guy. I wouldn't get whistled at by the bad guys either. They can stop that any time now thank you very much.

But all in all I'm pretty glad I'm the Girl Wonder.

Oh my. My new bike absolutely wonderful. It's hot rod red and goes from 0 to 120 in ten seconds.  Who wants to race?

He ruined my boots!  It's bad enough I had to trek through the sewers looking for Killer Croc, but he actually had to take a bite out of them!

And Babs you can shut up right now! It's not funny!
